Siliguri College of Commerce, a co-educational and premier Institution of North Bengal was established in 1971-72 to impart commerce & management education to the students of commercial hub of North Bengal. In fact, University of North Bengal sanctioned Commerce as a subject to be taught in Siliguri College w.e.f session 1962-63.
Later on, Siliguri College of Commerce was affiliated to as a Govt. Aided College under 2(f) & 12(B) of UGC Act. 1956 and was also affiliated to University of North Bengal.
